How To Save Money All The Way To President's Club With Avon!

I'm following up on my previous post about achieving President's Club level sales while saving money on products you or your family uses every day.  Here are a few more of my favorite ideas:

1.  Avon "Senses" Bubble Bath.  Even if you don't take tub baths, Avon Bubble Bath can save you money.  I use it as a household cleaner - less than a cap-ful to a bucket of water - and you have the best solution for mopping floors.  I also use it as a laundry detergent.  1 cap-ful for small loads or soft water, 2 caps for large loads or hard/well water.  If you stock up on bubble bath when it is offered at a special price in the What's New, it costs less than laundry detergent, and works just as well. My favorite is the Endless Ocean scent.  It makes my house and laundry smell like a resort spa.

2. Use a daily skin care regimen.  With access to samples, you can try all the treatment and moisturizer products at a reasonable price until you find the perfect products that work for you.  Every few campaigns, Avon offers ANEW skin care products in the What's New brochure with exclusive 30-50% savings for representatives.

3. Find a must-have product that you can't live without, like the ANEW Power Serum.  I use it every day before moisturizers or skin treatments.

4. Make sure to always have our signature product, Skin-So-Soft Bath Oil on hand.  I always have a couple spray bottles in my home for moisturizing skin as well as the "unauthorized" uses.  It keeps bugs away while I'm working outside.  It also removes the glue from price labels.

How to Achieve President’s Club While Saving Money Everyday!

This article is designed for my team of Avon representatives.  In the spirit of many Avon reps who share their successes so that all of us may benefit, I am making this information public.

I have been a representative for a total of  12 years.  I achieved President's Club (PC) status all but my first year.  The best part of PC is that I am guaranteed 40% earnings on core products, and 25% earnings on all third-party products ( those marked in the brochure with a ❖ symbol).   I'm going to tell you how you can achieve PC every year, no matter how many people you know, or how much time or money you have to invest. And, best of all, you can save money on your household expenses.

This may seem to be too good to be true, but I am going to show you how just by using products that you currently buy retail at your grocery, department store or pharmacy, you can become your own best customer AND save money on products you and your family already use.

New representatives who haven't yet achieved PC earn commission in the form of discounts, according to the amount of their order in any given campaign. This order size amount includes sales tools, brochures and samples.

Also, in every campaign, you are entitled to purchase items from the "What's New" demo books for upcoming campaigns.  For example, when you place your Campaign 23 order, you can also order from the Campaign 24 and Campaign 25 What's New brochures.

Every What's New features products that are deeply discounted for all representatives, even those who have not achieved PC.  Here's the first example of how you can save money while becoming your best customer:

Everyone needs some type of body lotion.  Here is a great deal on the Bonus 33.8 oz size of your choice of formulas.  Your price is only $8.05 each!  

Take the Moisture Therapy Intensive Healing and Repair lotion for example. The comparable product available in retail stores is Eucerin Intensive Repair Dry Skin Lotion, and comes in a 16.9 oz. bottle. You would have to buy two of these at $9.59 each to get the same amount in your bonus size Moisture Therapy Intensive Healing and Repair Lotion.   That's $19.18!  

By ordering the product from yourself, you save at least $11.13!

This is just one example.  As you go through your home with an Avon brochure in hand, I'm sure you can find many other ways to save.  

One of my favorite products is the Avon senses line of hand soaps.  I keep one in each of our bathrooms, and also at the kitchen sink.    I also keep a tube of Moisture Therapy Intensive Healing and Repair Hand Cream by all the sinks for after washing.   

This happens to be specially priced in a recent Avon Book 4.2 oz. for $2.50.

The comparable product in retail stores is Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula Fragrance Free. A 2 oz. tube costs 5.99.  Let's say, for the sake of argument, that this campaign, you only have $50 in customer orders, which entitles you to a 20% discount.  Your cost for the Moisture Therapy Intensive Healing and Repair Hand Cream would be $2.  You would have to buy a little more than 2 of the Neutrogena brand to get the same amount as in one tube of Avon hand cream, and that would cost you over $12.  When you buy from your own Avon business, you save at least $10!

How to Earn Money As A Successful Avon Representative

If you're thinking about joining Avon as a representative, or if you have newly joined,

you may be wondering how you will get paid, and what activities you need to do to earn money
with Avon.

The answer is that there are many ways to make money with Avon, and you can choose
whatever ways work best for you and your lifestyle. I'll detail as many as I can in this post.

1. The obvious - direct selling - face to face. This is when you make a list of everyone you know,
contact them to let them know you have started your own business, and that they can count on you
for all their Avon needs. Avon provides a commission structure with a "kickstart" program for new
representatives in their first 7 Campaigns. (Each Campaign lasts 2 weeks).
You collect orders and payment from your customers, pay Avon for your cost of the products sold
and keep the rest as your profit.

2. Direct selling through your online store. Share the free website provided by Avon and let
your customers shop with you online. The customers pay on the website, get delivery to their
homes, and Avon pays you the same commission rate as you would earn on face-to-face sales.
If you have a balance with Avon, your online commissions will be processed as a credit on your
account. If your commissions exceed your balance, you can choose direct deposit to your bank,
or have your commission loaded onto a debit card provided by Avon.

This option is maximum reward for minimum effort and cost - you don't have to spend gas money
and time delivering the orders. It does take some time to build these sales into something
substantial. Avon provides free social selling tools to help promote your online business, and if
you post consistently, and follow up with a personal touch by email or private message, you can
grow this part of your business without ever leaving the house. I also mail brochures and
samples to my online customers to thank them for shopping with me.

3. Recruiting and Mentoring. Avon is more fun and more profitable when you invite others to join.
At first, this may seem counter-intuitive, because many people who are successful in sales are
very competitive. However, there is more than enough business to go around, and you may find
that you learn more when you are mentoring others. This helps you increase your own sales
success while you are building your team sales. Avon has a generous compensation plan with
bonuses for recruiting and team building.

4. Fundraising. There are so many worthy causes, and non-profit organizations looking for money.
You can help them with Avon's fundraising program. There are special flyers and product bundles
designed for fundraisers, and you are guaranteed 50% commission on all registered fundraiser
sales. You decide how much to offer the organization. Depending on the size of the sale, you can
earn while giving back to a worthy cause. This is also a great way to build sales volume
(which is important to your future commission when you achieve President's Recognition Program
level sales), and get new customers who may order from you after the fundraiser is over.
The President's Recognition Program is available to representatives who achieve President's
Club - $10,000 sales volume in a calendar year - or above.

5. Use your own online store for your personal Avon shopping, or for "add-on" customer orders
that you get just after you've submitted your regular order. I recommend only submitting one regular
order to Avon per 2-week campaign because there is a shipping charge (between $6 and $10)
for those orders. At your online store, shipping is always FREE for a $40 order or more.

Are you an independent woman?

If you value your independence, the best boss you could ever have is yourself!

There have been a lot of changes to the Avon company and products over the years since I first started selling Avon. One thing I heard in the very beginning of my Avon career is, "With Avon, you're in business for yourself but never by yourself."  I have found this to remain consistently true.

The first part of the statement - you're in business for yourself - means that except for a few corporate guidelines regarding trademarks and advertising,
Avon Independent Sales Representatives are free to run their businesses any way they choose.

• Want to sell online only?  There are free tools for that.  
• Want to sell only to yourself to get a discount on products?  I like to call that becoming a personal shopper, and some day when I retire, that's what I will be.  You can get a discount on your own purchases and have early access to new products without meeting a sales quota. 
• Want to share your business with family and friends without changing your lifestyle?  Again, there is no minimum order required, and you can share your Avon books in person or online.
• Maybe you are ready to go all in, and make Avon your full-time career.  There is a significant amount of money to be made, selling both online and face to face, to people you already know and people you meet every day.  Ultimately, building a team of your own provides you with a bonus income.  You still control your schedule and choose how, where, and when to grow your business.

The second part - never by yourself - means that you are not alone.  You have the support of Avon staff, leaders and mentors every step of the way.   From the time you sign up online, you will have access to Avon's representative website, and Avon U, where you can learn how to navigate the site.  You'll have an online store website, and social media tools to help you promote it.  You will also have access to Avon's toll-free representative support number.
Usually within 24 hours, your mentor or adviser will contact you to answer any questions you may have and provide guidance based on the goals you set for yourself.  This is not a "pushy sales manager" that tries to get you to commit to a predetermined sales and recruiting quota.  It is a specialist trained to listen to what you want for yourself, and offer the personalized support you need to reach those goals.  You can accept as much or as little support as you like.
