How to Have a Successful Avon Vendor Event

The first thing you need to do is find a venue to set up your display.  I recommend starting with a free or low price table fee.  
You don't need a lot of inventory to have a successful event.  All you need are brochures, flyers or business cards and a few items for cash and carry.
You can get fancy with gift baskets, and more products, but the most important thing is to have fun, meet new people, and get contact info for your new sales and recruiting prospects.  

You can find Avon videos at your representative website, and display them on a tablet or laptop at your table.  That can help relieve shyness or uncertainty about what to say to your visitors.

You can also use games to make your display more fun and interactive.  
You can fill a container with lipstick samples and have people guess the number.  Have them provide their contact info with their guess, and award a prize end of the show for the closest guess. This is a variation on the idea of a door prize drawing. 



I found a small prize wheel on eBay for a low price, but it does the job, and attracts a lot of kids, young and old.  I use prizes that cost me less than a dollar, for example lip balms from the Avon Outlet Book, travel size hand creams, and deluxe samples.  I put a label on each prize with my contact information.  The idea is not to make money from this activity, but to get Avon products into the hands of consumers so they can try them, and contact you to order. 

Last but not least, the most important part of a vendor show is what you do after the event.  When you deliver the prize to your winner, you have the opportunity to connect with that person and offer to follow up with future campaign books.  And, you have contact information from all the people who did not win the prize.  You can call or email them to offer an Avon book or samples.  You can also get permission to add them to your email list.  Your Avon representative website has an automated email program to help you follow up with your customers.
